Job Description: 

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with a solid background in Python, TypeScript, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and API development and integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevOps practices to support the deployment and operation of our software solutions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software using Python and TypeScript.
  • Implement and manage APIs, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across systems.
  • Deploy applications and services on AWS, leveraging cloud-native architectures for high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine system requirements and technical specifications.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.
  • Oversee the entire application lifecycle, from initial design to deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software, addressing complex technical issues as they arise.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and adopting them as appropriate to meet business needs.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, with a proven track record in Python and TypeScript.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
  • Experience in developing, deploying, and integrating APIs in a microservices landscape.
  • Experience maintaining DevOps cultures and setting up new continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills: 

  • AWS certifications or relevant cloud technology certifications.
  • Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks and technologies (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is from $110,000 - $160,000 depending on overall skillset and experience.
